Initial Days and Hygiene Guidelines
Since frenuloplasty is an outpatient procedure, patients can return home shortly after surgery. However, the following instructions should be carefully observed during the first 48 hours:
- Water Contact: Keeping the surgical area dry reduces the risk of infection. Bathing should generally be avoided for the first 48 hours, after which quick, lukewarm showers are permitted.
- Dressing and Hygiene: Antiseptic solutions and wound ointments prescribed by the physician must be used regularly as directed.
- Mild Pain and Swelling: Mild swelling or spot-like bleeding under the glans penis is normal and should not cause alarm.
Sexual Abstinence and Activity Restrictions
