In some dyspareunia and chronic pelvic pain patients, all diagnostic exams appear normal, pointing to autonomic nerve hypersensitivity. In this article, I discuss neural therapy for chronic pelvic pain and dyspareunia.
What is Neural Therapy?
Neural therapy involves injecting low-concentration local anesthetics (like procaine) into trigger points, acupuncture points, and surgical scars in the pelvic region to regulate autonomic nervous system feedback.
Benefits in Pelvic Pain
It improves microcirculation, normalizes hyperactive pain receptors, and neutralizes 'interference fields' created by old surgical scars (like episiotomy or C-section scars) that cause pain during intercourse.
