The elastic band of tissue located on the underside of the penis that connects the glans to the foreskin (or circumcision line) is called the frenulum. If this tissue band is abnormally short, thick, or tight, it can cause significant sexual discomfort in men. Penile Dorsal Frenuloplasty is a microsurgical procedure that surgically releases and lengthens this tissue band, making sexual intercourse painless and comfortable.

Why Should a Short Frenulum Be Treated?

Men with a short frenulum experience severe pain during sexual intercourse due to tension. This tension, combined with sexual arousal, can cause the frenulum to tear and result in heavy bleeding. Additionally, excessive tension in the frenulum region increases nerve stimulation, potentially triggering premature ejaculation. The main goals of frenuloplasty surgery are:

  • Completely eliminating pain and discomfort during intercourse.
  • Permanently preventing the risk of frenulum tearing and bleeding.
  • Relieving anxieties related to premature ejaculation and tension-induced erectile difficulty.

A Comfortable and Fast Solution

Frenuloplasty is a quick and comfortable procedure performed under local anesthesia that does not require suture removal. Patients can return to their daily routines immediately after the procedure.
